The Politically Incorrect Show - 13/04/2000

[Music - Die Fledermaus]

Good afternoon, KAYA ORAAAA & welcome to the Politically Incorrect Show on the free speech network, Radio Pacific, for Thursday April 13, proudly sponsored by Neanderton Nicotine Ltd, the show that says bugger the politicians & bureaucrats & all the other bossyboot busybodies who try to run our lives with our money; that stands tall for free enterprise, achievement, profit & excellence against the state-worshippers in our midst; that stands above all for the most sacred thing in the universe, the liberty of the human individual.

[Music up, music down]

Wasn't it illuminating yesterday to hear Broadcasting Commissar Marion Hobbs' words re her intended New Zealand music quotas for radio & television - that although she would prefer these media to comply voluntarily, "always behind it sits a big stick"?! Government coercion, in other words. This was reminiscent of the words of our Fuhrer, which art in Helengrad, herself, when on April 4 she told a seminar on women in the work-force, "There will have to be legislation. I am convinced we will never see women come up through the private sector they way they have in the state sector without legislation. ... in the end it will take a bit of stick from the law to get people thinking again about equal employment opportunity." What is it with our governing politicians & sticks?

In fact, of course, there's nothing new in this - the Beehive scum have always treated us as naughty schoolchildren needing to be beaten into submission, as government property needing to be kept in line by terror & coercion. They are no different from the Cuban diplomat who said of Elian Gonzales, "He is the property of the Cuban government." An excellent feature article by Craig Howie in yesterday's Dominion entitled "Business choked by red tape" illustrates this point very well. It begins with an account of one businessman closing shop "because he's fed up with the paperwork - most of it demanded by government departments." It includes comments from one taxation consultant that, "You would have to be a masochist to set up in business & employ staff in New Zealand these days," and, "We're becoming a nation riddled with bureaucracy & I despair at the lack of genuine commitment to get it sorted out."

A case study is supplied of a Helengrad service sector company employing 30 staff, with an annual turnover of $3 million. The main demands upon it by politicians & bureaucrats are listed as:

1) Tax returns - GST payments every two months; PAYE payments every month; PAYE employee earnings schedules every month; student loan & child support deductions from PAYE; provisional tax payments three times a year plus one final payment; resident withholding tax monthly; calculate annual tax liability based on annual accounts.

2) Statistics New Zealand - annual business survey plus others.

3) Substantial changes to ACC, health & safety, staff driver licensing, employment law.

4) Ongoing resource management, privacy, human rights, competition & fair trading requirements.

Compliance costs are listed as:

1) Half of the managing director's time.

2) More than half of another senior employee's time.

3) Tax accountants - $25,000 a year.

4) Legal & other advice - $20,000-$25,000 a year.

Total compliance costs are conservatively estimated at $150,000 a year, more than last year's net profit.

And this is the state of affairs onto which Comrades Clark, Neanderton et al wish to pile further layers of bureaucracy! These are the employers on whose personal earnings they have already raised the tax rate!

Ladies & gentlemen, Clark & Neanderton & their predecessors who created this socialist nightmare are all scum. Many of you out there support them because you live off the money they steal from the productive. You are scum too. To the rest of you I say, the American colonists revolted over a tax that was piddling compared to what the stick-wielders are imposing on you. Wake up! Rise up! Stop being masochists! Drum the sadists out of town - in the sacred name of that which it is their mission utterly to destroy - freedom!

Politically Incorrect Show - beating the bastards back ... 309 3099.
