The Politically Incorrect Show - 02/07/1999

Music - Die Fledermaus

Good afternoon, Kaya Oraaa & welcome to the Politically Incorrect Show on the free speech network, Radio Pacific, for Friday July 2, proudly sponsored by Tuariki Tobacco Ltd, the show that says bugger the politicians & bureaucrats & all the other bossyboot busybodies who try to run our lives with our money; that stands tall for free enterprise, achievement, profit, & excellence, against the state-worshippers in our midst; that stands above all for the most sacred thing in the universe, the liberty of the human individual.

Music up, music down!

Dipping into the mailbox this afternoon - some highlights from your postings to me this week. Here's something really gratifying from a former broadcasting colleague:

"I think I'm 100% behind you, having grown up in a hurry ... I have hated watching this unique nation go down to the dogs of mediocrity & could see no glimmer of hope until your stance of political incorrectness was NOT clobbered by thunderbolts from on high."

Here's a "good on you" from Greymouth:

"Long may your good work continue. You often use the phrase, child-molesters of the mind, which is totally apt vis-a-vis the shambles of government, fluffy academia & the ever-growing cesspool of grossly overpaid entrenched dynasties of bureaucrats, with their draconian attitudes & power. ... We in New Zealand have degenerated into a saturnalia of ponderous over-government."

Another correspondent sent me a copy of his letter to the Headmistress about the Trirds:

"Having heard the Holmes programme tonight where an IRD employee felt guilty about the deaths of five people but no remorse about his own involvement in ruining 250 others, it is now clear to me that 'maximising compliance' & 'firm enforcement' have borrowed extensively from the Spanish Inquisition, which was also judge, jury & executioner & made liberal use of techniques such as destruction of people's lives, confiscation of property, threats & increased punishment for non-admission of guilt ... Graham Holland must be fired immediately, followed by demotion of the Ministers responsible for this disgusting tragedy. It is unbelievable that honours are bestowed on those who were supposedly in control of such a monstrous department." Bravo!

Now here's an intriguing one: where has the zig-zag man's cigarette gone? The traditional zig-zag man on the cardboard wrap around the cigarette papers had a cigarette in his mouth. Now he doesn't. A listener sent me an old & a new wrap to prove it. Another casualty of the Nico-Nazis? Anyone know?

One on the drivers' licences:

"There is no provision under the new law for a deferment or extension on medical grounds over the 60-day time frame. I'm in bed with glandular fever. From today I'm an illegal driver; can't get an extension of my year 2032 expiry licence even with a doctor's note. I can't stand in a queue for two hours but can now be fined, with car confiscation, on ducking down to the shops."

And finally, thanks to the correspondent who sent me "13 Good Reasons Why Apec Is Not Good For Women" from Wellington's Dominion. Photographs of 13 bearded socialist wimmin with their inane anti-capitalist drivel quoted beside their ugly mugs. How about this from Annette Sykes: "Apec promotes a process of privatisation of our taonga & the sale of our heritage as a nation to foreign companies who have no commitment to the future generations of this land. This agenda is dehumanising & a betrayal of the Treaty of Waitangi."

I must say Apec looks better all the time! I'm going to stop now & have a good laugh at these silly bitches.
