Good afternoon, Kaya Oraaa & welcome to the Politically Incorrect Show on the free speech network, Radio Pacific, for Tuesday September 7, proudly sponsored by Tuariki Tobacco Ltd, the show that says bugger the politicians & bureaucrats & all the other bossyboot busybodies who try to run our lives with our money; that stands tall for free enterprise, achievement, profit, & excellence, against the state-worshippers in our midst; that stands above all for the most sacred thing in the universe, the liberty of the human individual.

That relentless daily propaganda machine for Political Correctness in all its forms, the New Zealand Herald, is getting worse. Since Peter Sherer stepped down as editor, the Herald has displayed an increasingly blatant commitment to the supremacy of the state & the grinding down of individual liberty. This is why I now call it the Daily Marxist. When they first took over, however, the red bedwetters who currently run it did make an effort to balance the endless parade of femi-nazi, pseudo-mordi, anti-capitalist ideologues - including prominent AUS witches from Auckland University - with whose totalitarian bile they saturated its pages. Martin Ames & then Gareth Morgan provided a modest, imperfect but nonetheless welcome antidote to the poisonous propaganda of the pillocks & parasites. Now, though, the dear old DM no longer bothers even going through the motions of affecting a concern for anything that remotely resembles the slightest intimation of an approximation of a hint of a suggestion of an insinuation of an allusion to an illusion of balance! It's full-on fascism, folks, of the leftist variety. The Herald, once derided as Granny Herald, stooge of the National Party, the statists of the Right, has turned into the Daily Marxist, print arm of the Labour, Alliance & Green parties, the statists of the Left. For evidence, I refer you to the op-ed page, or, worse, the in-house columnist on page two, any day of the week.

Don't get me wrong - I defend to the death the right of the DM to swill around in the socialist sewer. Those of us who detest it are free not to read it, or, better still, start another morning newspaper that actually publishes news without drowning it in communist commentary.

We're also free to criticise this travesty of a news service. I want to single out one anomaly for attention right now. Over the weekend, as you know, Joy Faulkner's Enough is Enough march took place in the heart of Auckland. It attracted about two hundred people from various groups protesting against the routine, systematic violation of individual liberty by Nanny State, the first time there's ever been anything like it in this statist backwater. News? I would have thought so. Not the Daily Marxist, of course. Not a pinko bedwetter in sight. Instead, what did they dish up as part of yesterday's offal but a photograph of a Roman Catholic witch-doctor in a skirt leading a bunch of lefty losers in an anti-Apec march around Tamaki Drive. The photograph was accompanied by a lengthy bottom-lick masquerading as an article.

Nothing surprising in this, of course, & I repeat - the DM is free to publish & not publish whatever it likes. If the perpetrators of this travesty have any integrity, however, they will drop any pretence, not only of balance, but also of being primarily concerned with straight reportage. Crusaders for collectivism is what they are, & what they should be honest enough to say they are.
